Indications
- Acute ischemic stroke (to improve neurological function and disability)
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) for slowing functional decline
- Neuroprotection in conditions associated with oxidative stress and free radical injury
- Adjunct therapy in traumatic brain injury and subarachnoid haemorrhage (as per physician's guidance)
- Used in critical care and neurology settings
Mechanism of action
Edaravone is a potent free radical scavenger that reduces oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation, thereby protecting neuronal and vascular cells from ischemic and oxidative injury. It helps in preserving neurological function and microcirculation.
Dosage and administration
- Dose and duration as directed by the Physician.
- For intravenous infusion only.
